Attendees at the Jail Break 5 at the Old City Jail enjoyed an eclectic mix of live music, dance performances, crafts, visual arts, stand-up, demos, and grub on the evening of April 27. Presented by Entropy Arts and Ear For Music, Jail Break attracted a variety of folks to the Old City Jail on Magazine Street.

The Charleston Dance Alliance presented four sets of traditional and modern dance between 4-9:30 p.m. Local indie rock quintet Brave Baby performed early in the afternoon on the maim stage, followed by roots-rock combo the Luke Cunningham Band (a.k.a. the Dubious Battles), bluesy/boozy Americana band the Royal Tinfoil, and pop singer/songwriter Steven Fiore and his full band.

The Big Gun Burger Shop co-presented the comedy sets of the evening upstairs in the jailhouse with six stand-ups hosted by emcee Evan Berke, including Andy Rider, Jason Groce, Sam Jackel, Vince Fabra, Myles Armstrong Hutto (returning to Charleston from Chicago), and Dusty Slay.
