Awendaw Green Announces Lineup for NAC Wins
Awendaw Green announced the full musical lineup for NAC Wins, an outdoor benefit concert scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 23 for local musician Nick Collins and his family. Collins is a Charleston-based guitarist and a founding member of local band Fowler’s Mustache. Collins was severely injured on August 3 in a terrible accident on I-526. NAC Wins event is designed to honor and support Collins and his family as he recovers from his injuries.
Billed as NAC Wins: A Benefit for the Nick A. Collins III Medical Expense Trust, the all-day showcase will take place at Awendaw Green’s spacious festival grounds behind the Sewee Outpost.
Collins formed Fowler’s Mustache three years ago with acoustic guitarist/singer Matt Stanley, bassist Chris Richter, drummer John Tankersley, and lead guitarist Thomas McElwee. The band specialized in a blend of classic rock, funk, and blues. The band has played regularly around the Lowcountry. They’ve recorded two albums in the two years.
All of Collins’ bandmates will be in attendance on Sunday. The NAC Wins concert will feature two large stages arranged side-by-side. When one act finishes a set on one stage, the next act will be ready to go on the other. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The music will start at 12 p.m. and run through 10 p.m. Admission is $15.
